Here’s why you need it in your life:
-
Stress Relief on Steroids
Shimmying away tension feels amazing! Dancing releases endorphins, reduces anxiety, and boosts your mood. Who needs therapy when you can shake it out? -
Core Strength & Flexibility
Say hello to strong abs and a happy spine. Belly dance strengthens your core, improves posture, and keeps your joints happy. -
Mind-Body Connection
Get out of your head and into your body! The focused, fluid movements help you feel more present, confident, and connected. -
Community & Fun
Whether in a class or online, belly dance brings people together. It’s all about movement, music, and joy... zero judgment, all vibes! -
Any Body, Any Age
No prerequisites. No need to be ‘fit’ first. Belly dance meets you where you are and makes you feel amazing as you are.
So... what’s stopping you? Time to shimmy your way to happiness!
BONUS: Join Shimmy Mob and get all the above while contributing to a noble cause!
Dance for joy, dance for change, and be part of a global movement that makes a difference raising awareness for domestic violence.
Ready to shimmy your way to happiness and impact? Why wait? Sign up, dance, and make a difference!

Shimmy Mob is a celebration of fun and teamwork, where dancers in cities around the world unite for a common cause. These events are not just about performing—they're about coming together as a community to make a difference. Every shimmy you take part in contributes to a greater purpose, creating a ripple effect of positive change.

Founded in 2011 by the visionary Francesca Anastasi (aka Francesca Sabeya Anastasi ), Shimmy Mob is more than just a dance event—it's a global movement dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence and promoting a message of empowerment and community.

Once registered, you receive the choreography videos via a link online. The videos break down the dance so you can learn it on your own.
As team leader for Washburn, WI, I will be offering free live rehearsal sessions.
Dates will be announced in March.

We're about 75 miles from Duluth/Superior, if you aren't familiar with the area.
If you don't want to make the drive (totally understandable), I can host online rehearsals by Zoom.

Or, feel free to lead/join a team closer to you, too.
The registration deadline for the May 10th event is March 31.
